WC IA | Had bouts of it off and on for years. I would take antacids or other stuff for few days then go doctor if it didn’t subside. Well, in spring of 2018 while working on planter i developed a pain that put me on the ground. My wife took me to hospital, they did tests scans ect but couldn’t locate source of pain—of course I’m now on pain medication so it wasn’t too bad. I stayed overnight and figured I would get kicked out. They did couple more tests in the morning and my wife went home. Doctor came in all urgent that I was going to surgery right now-I had ruptured bowel. I called my wife said I’m going into surgery she asked when and I said right now. 6 hour surgery. They ended up taking 18 inches out, had my guts on the table for washing, and put a bag on me for 6 months. I made light of it during one of my checkups and the doctor got pissed—she said you don’t know how serious condition you had. They tied things back together in September and no issues since. So take it seriously. | |
