| It's sort of what we do. Afghanistan cost over a trillion, a lot of time and quite a few lives and didn't really accomplish anything except keeping the taliban out of power until we fled leaving them all of our equipment and gear. Iraq cost over a trillion and less lives but we did get regime change and supposedly iraq is an ally now. So if we pay 300 billion and lose few lives that's chump change in today's dollars. But I have a feeling that isn't the end of it as we did not get regime change. They'll take our money and start working on the next nuke. | |
