We used to fly doubles on the long chain swings, one would sit one way and the other would stand the opposite direction.  That allowed us to get above the bar both ways and pop the chains.  It was always a lot of fun until I landed up against the brick school wall one day from being shot out of the swing on the chain pop.  All I remember is "waking up" with the teacher bent over asking me if I was alright.
