North Central Indiana | I can separate the man from the policy. I don’t have to like the president to think they’re doing things better than the other option. I don’t like Trump at all, wouldn’t be friends with him if he was my neighbor instead of the president and acted the way he does. In comparison I love my neighbors and consider them part of the family and think they’re great people, but I’d never vote for them to run the country because I don’t want their policy perspectives imposed on me at a government level. That’s one of the current problems in this country, one side refuses to separate the person from the politics and thinks politics are the most important factor about a person and the other side doesn’t want to know your politics they just want to know you individually. I’ve said it for 12 years now. If the democrats had any brains they would’ve put up a moderate and wiped the floor with the current Republican Party for all these years. Unfortunately they want to put up options just as insane as Trump but on the opposite end of the spectrum and what we’ve seen is the majority of voters in this country do not want all of the bs the progressive democrats are trying to push. I didn’t vote for Trump in any primary. Had to vote for him in the general as I couldn’t stand the policy ideas from the other side. If they had put up a normal person that has ideas for real government policy rather than social programming and cultural issues I would’ve voted for them. | |
