For sure.
Have a window unit that was clogged with cottonwood tree fuzz. Impossible to get at the fins. I had to cut though part of the fan shroud plastic to get better access and then taped a old toothbrush onto a rod to get in there and drag out a couple of handfulls of fuzz. Used metal tape to re-attach the cut out fan shroud section.
