Douglass Kansas

Finally found someone that beat us.

Rain amounts from just a few miles west of house

4-29-19 to 6-23-19 37.88 inches

9-2-18 to 9-23-19 78.19 inches

Have you ever had a really dry summer like 2.68 inches from 6-27-22 to 10-23-22 largest rain was 0.47 inches? That year the flooding/wet in beginning of June took half the corn crop and the dryness later took half of what was left.

5 days ago I was pretty sure that the dryness was going to be the most limiting factor for our corn, after getting 3.5" of rain in one day and the forecast changing from a week of dry weather to a chance of rain almost everyday, it seems like flooding could be the most limiting factor.  Corn looks really good now. Some of the neighbors corn is tasseling out and our earliest will be tasseling in less than a week.
