Does it seem to have suddenly lost fuel economy as well? If so, with everything else mentioned, I’d lean hard towards a plugged cat as well.

Summit or Jegs you used to be able to buy weld in cats much cheaper than parts store replacement cats if your so inclined to replace it. That’s what my brother did years ago.
