JBatmick, if you go down to the original thread that you posted, you will see my posts. I looked up the zoning ordinance for St John's county. It says the 1000 ft restriction does not apply to the sale of beer and wine (I think the actual wording is malted beverages and wine, but I think that refers to beer.) My understanding is that the Zone board got it right, and the Commissioners got it wrong, if their decision is based on 1000 ft restriction. My hunch - and it is only a hunch - the County Commissioners decision was based on something other than the 1000 ft restriction, and they aren't making known what their decision was based on. IF the Commissioners decision was truly based on the 1000 ft restriction, then someone should take them to court because the Commissioners obviously don't know what their own Zoning Ordinance says.
