We have a Nest thermostat and you can program the fan to run whenever you want, I think our's is set to run for 15 minutes every hour. Our bedroom is on the east side of the house and tdnds to warm up as the sun rises before the thermostat in the dining rooms detects it and running the fan helps with that.
