 Alton, Ia | Not a chance! We are app 80% contoured rows, and 20 inch both corn and beans. In straight or long gradual curves, I'll spray down row early post on corn, otherwise we go across. In beans, across as much as possible. Spraying down row leads to long stretches of smashed beans when they get pulled under in late July fungicide passes, much less yield loss going across. Some places, such as along grass terraces, have no choice, but we try to avoid going down row if possible.
Want to make tracks in June and follow them 2 or 3 passes later.
Gave up trying to find my little box of gender changers that I need to enact wildbuckwheat's suggestion. Should have a few new ones here tomorrow, will post back then. The Hagie is only going to be here a couple more years, if that, so don't want to spend a super amount on this. | |
