I’m a little late to the party but the reason I posted that was because the person receiving most of the welfare in our county for that subsidy is a very wealthy farmer.
It was approx $5 million over 30 years and other family members were high on the list.
Also the farmers that are doing it without the welfare have to compete with this guy on purchasing ground, purchasing equipment at auctions, etc.
I’m very much for the poor or marginalized person trying to help themselves but I don’t want to work to help one of the wealthiest people in our county become wealthier.
Would you be ok with helping him become wealthier if the subsidies were for wind or solar instead of farming?
