Valparaiso, NE | T60 and t100 are a major upgrade from the t40. Even the older t30 had better terrain following. T100 and t60 take a lot of generator to keep up. I currently run 2 t60s on our farm. You need at least 12kw continuous rating per charger, or 7kw per charger input. You can split the power inputs to 2 generators on 1 charger with the c10000s. The t60 flies faster while spraying and with the orchard kit holds enough spray solution to fly 2 half mile rounds at 2gpa with about 30' swath width. I think the t100 batteries are going to end up being a bit undersized for 2gpa work. The chargers also require 3phase to get full output.
There is also nothing wrong with keeping your t40 and getting new batteries. Are you sure it's bad batteries and not just dirty connectors? Or maybe a long ferry flight fully loaded? I've had that overheat the connection and cause an emergency landing. | |
