I believe the point he is trying to make is local costs will move towards the cost of production. If people are constantly taking losses it sounds like the c.o.p is too high and .gov should stop back stopping it.
That is obviously very true. But how does one stop this ball from rolling. All of the BIG retailers have the ear of the govt more than the farmers. They don't want the economy to back up for them.
