Western-Central Lower Michigan | I would replace the unit, I did mine last year. Worked since 2000. Had a leak, and it seems the "gas" in the unit is changing due to Govt regs. The one I got was already was going to be obsolete as a new better one was coming in.
I would just go with a couple estimates from local contractors.
BUT consider this, if your AC unit is that old so is your furnace, I didnt replace my furnace, but now Im wondering if I should have looked into that... |
