EC SD | Communists are quite concerned with equal distribution of wealth of the society. This disincentivizes everyone so that the society has little wealth to split evenly, the wealth becomes exhausted, and everyone suffers together in misery (except for the elites who continue to live in palaces). This is why the USA has a massive line of immigrants, from every country, wanting to start a new life here. I have traveled extensively around the world, and it is not uncommon at all to see extreme human suffering without even venturing into the rural areas.
Capitalists are quite concerned with equal opportunity to gain wealth personally. This incentivizes everyone and the society prospers as a whole, with some more wealthy than others, of course. Even the bottom rung of the social ladder lives better than in a society suffering from communism. Anyone unhappy with being at the bottom rung, has great incentives to work harder and smarter to climb upward in their journey toward personal fulfillment. We call it liberty with the right to pursue happiness. I know this from personal experience coming from a very poor family and leaving home as a broke teenager, and now 40 years later, easily in top 10%. We call it the American Dream.
