We've used Asana behind the planter for years and no issues whatsoever.  May not help you now though.  Usually runs under $50/gal and we use 3oz/ac but there are probably cheaper alternatives.  It's worked so good for so long dad refuses to try anything else.  We have had wireworm issues and I'd really like to go to an in-furrow application of Capture or similar as well.
