Not going to cut tin first. I actually want 3 inches of tin left so I can double up 2x8 door frame and the original tin will cover that. Then it’s simple trim around door on outside.
Make your cut in the metal from the outside with a circular saw set to full depth. Finish the cut through the foam and purlins with a sawzall. Then deal with the 3" of foam and purlins that is left around the opening. |
