Central IL | Yes the next few years will be interesting. Its going to make the home battery systems popular to bridge the gap when they shove peak pricing on all of us. Since your ameren im sure you have noticed the peak kw they have put on the bills that at this point means nothing…. But its coming. I see us paying for power by changing hourly rates.
State policy has shut down 4 coal plants on the illinois river therfore less baseload power to be made up by solar and wind. Obviously those dont generate all the time and that needs to be made up somehow. They buy power from out of state at high rates to make up for it. | |
