Yes, being able to place an air wing and battle group in international waters anywhere on the globe in a matter of days and be able to keep it there with unreps is completely overrated.
It's certainly worse than relying on having all of your assets based on 10,000 foot concrete runways that are fixed in place with their locations known to everybody for the last 70 years.
