Moingona Iowa | I have no idea of the opening markets, I am usually wrong.
What I do know is I took a drive today, south then west then
north back home to Boone county, Boone Ia.
corn majority was 2 leaf to 4 leaf. At least a month behind.
I usually have knee high corn around the 4th of June or close to it.
Most of the beans I could row them, only very few planted fields
were not up. About 8 or 10 fields not planted yet. 3 hr drive.
Markets up then lost all gains. I look for a small rebound. I think
the next two weeks or so will tell us which direction we may head.
Weather may play a big role.
If markets ratchet higher the farmers will hold tight, there has to
be corrections to shake loose grain. If it opens and stays higher, it should
after what I've seen on my little tour and lower markets lately, if the state is like what I assessed. | |
