Debt won't be fixed as long as welfare is over half of the budget. Too many voting to ride the wagon.

Health & Social Security really isn't welfare Isn't some of social security money coming from taxes paid by those collecting it for many yrs.?
Health care in Canada costs Gov't. a lot of $$ , but a healthy nation is a good thing and looking after the "less fortunate" is something to be proud of.
Having a 1,000 billionaires paying very few taxes while there is homeless , those without healthcare, the hungry,ect. isn't something to be proud of
Canada, like the USA has a big divide between haves and have nots ...Overall we Farmers are mostly the haves
Everyone would scream ,but it should be a balanced budget for all gov'ts every yr., be it reduced spending or higher taxes |
