Ft. Ripley MN | I should preface… I want no one to fail… I want everyone to succeed. I don’t want our government to fail. We have the best system that’s ever since existed.
We need to get back to the roots. We already have a system in place that allows success and freedom yet everyday we lose it because people push the easy button. If you want to be a mini monette then my hats off to you go for it but when the tides turn don’t expect a handout. I truly do wonder what our previous generations would think about the state of affairs today.
Everyone says what the farmers get paid is a drop in the bucket… maybe so but that don’t make it right?? How many people on this site go to church and preach the word of the lord yet have the balls to say I deserve that handout?? It’s just a drop in the bucket? I had a bad year? I pay more in taxes then i receive?? That’s no excuse… we run a business… even for non ag businesses… if you can’t afford to survive a bad year… multiple break even years then the system is broken. Put your big boy pants on and figure it out. How many threads on here have been beef is to expensive.. can’t afford it. Those folks are more well off than the average person and still collects government payments. You check every dollar in your spreadsheet… why shouldn’t the government?? So your drop in the bucket excuse is null and void
The government payments are public knowledge…. Tell me why the most well off farmers are also the biggest collectors of subsidies… at least for my neighborhood that’s how it is | |
