Subject: Already spent $80 billion on Iran....

how about the next $100 billion that we spend, we build infrastructure AROUND the Strait of Hormuz? We (get Germany, China etal to also pony up) and the Strait can just sit there. President Trump could pull out AND call it a "Win!" shovel ready jobs in the Middle East, we`d win friends actually. Here is the clinker though Israel and Pat Robertson and Rex Humbard and Oral Roberts and Ted Cruz want us to keep fighting.

AI Overview Building alternative infrastructure around the Strait of Hormuz is a massive undertaking, requiring investments of \(\$55\) billion to over \(\$100\) billion. The exact cost depends on which strategic bypass route is chosen and the extent of military-grade fortifications included.Key cost breakdowns depend on the mega-project:10-Pipeline Network: Constructing 10 inland pipelines to transport the equivalent of 20 million barrels per day comes with an estimated price tag of \(\$40\) to \(\$60\) billion.Strategic Canal: Digging a 110 to 120-kilometer inland canal bypassing the strait requires \(\$70\) to \(\$100\) billion in funding.Military & Storage Additions: Fully protecting pipelines requires \(\$10\) billion to build defense assets like Patriot and C-RAM missile systems.Existing Precedents: Regional players have built smaller bypass projects in the past. For example, the UAE’s Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP) cost \(\$4.2\) billion but only accounts for a fraction of the region's shipping capacity.
