If the Chinese hadn't bought Premium Standard Farms, and changed it to Smithfield, or however that exactly happened, that whole operation would have folded and much of Northern MO would be poorer than it already is. There were no buyers for it at the time and the whole thing was going to fold.
Smithfield bought Premium standard farms long before the Chinese bought Smithfield, Smithfield was not in financial trouble when the Chinese bought them.
There was no good reason to let the Chinese buy Smithfield. Obama let it happen under his watch, own it.
