Central MN | If you like tinkering, look into AgOpenGps. Theres a group on FB for it, and some support here also. If I hadn't got into Ag Leader equipment a few years ago, I would be using AgOpenGps. Most of the features that are available with OEM GPS systems are possible as DIY setups. Its an opensource DIY system.
If you're looking for just a planter monitor, I would suggest finding a used Gen 1 20/20, or look at https://www.outfarming.com/. Theres a lot of good reviews on the outfarming monitor.
I farm less than 200 acres, but my goal is strip till, so Ive been working my way into GPS with used equipment over the years. There can be good deals on Marketplace/Craigslist/classifieds once you know what you are needing. It can be an addictive hobby. | |
