MN | We gave a check to both of our recently married sons for the wedding/reception and paid for the groom's rehearsal supper. If they wanted more, they had to pay for the rest or could save the balance. Fortunately both elected to use our local church we attend and the local VFW (very nice facility in SW MN if anyone is interested) for less than $1,500, nicely decorated most of the way already, local caterer, flowers from Costco, cake from Costco, etc. First son got married during covid so was more of a challenge. Second son had a local DJ. Biggest cost was photographer for both. You can keep the costs down and they can keep the balance for getting started. | |
