Subject: RE: Church vs. Pizza Joint

I can kind of see both sides of this. On the one hand anyone who says the Bible forbids drinking at all doesn’t know the Bible very well. On the other hand, how was the original guy who built the pizza place into a successful business able to do so without selling beer but the new owner says he needs to be able to? Something is fishy there.
Ultimately, in a free country it should come down to the government doesn’t have the right to decree whether he can sell beer or not. I’m sure the Baptists are often thankful for the freedom they have to worship God how they see fit. If they want to keep that freedom they also need to realize that freedom goes both ways. If you want to have freedom then sometimes people will do things you don’t like, but that’s their right if they aren’t directly causing harm to someone else.
