Midwest | I will be going over to Europe this summer for a few weeks, and normally I would get a new debit card from my local bank to use while traveling. I would get some Euros from an ATM when reach destination to use for smaller purchases. But my bank is telling me that crooks are using computers now to take the number of a debit card they know is valid and start scrolling thru similar numbers to extract money from unsuspecting card holders. So the bank says I should just use my credit card to buy stuff and pay the interest on cash withdrawals.
Any body have any other suggestions? | |
