T50 batteries would work on your T40 cooling towers and chargers. They also work in the T40 too. If you're happy with how your current drone is doing, you could just buy a couple new batteries and keep rolling with it. I don't think it's worth getting a T50 personally.

If you're just doing your own acres and a little custom work here and there, I wouldn't get a Ceres or T100. The Ceres would be overkill and takes a lot bigger gen to keep it going. T100 needs more chargers and batteries to not overheat, so that brings more gen requirements too.

The T60x is heavily discounted right now and seems people really like that one.

The new HD580 looks pretty slick. The new batteries are overkill, but price is still reasonable at 35-36k for a new kit. Would also be really easy to learn coming from a DJI.
