west-byGod-Pa. | We still have in the family my father’s 94 Winchester from back in the 1930’s. That said, the 94 is my least favorite because of the top-ejection. My first preference would be a Savage 99: magazine fed-not tube fed; available in some wonderful calibers. I know the 99 is no longer made , but I would be happy with good condition used. I know nothing about the Browning, but certainly would consider one if looking. Third choice would be Marlin: new or used-“IF” I could find a used one not made during the crappy years. | |
