| When I started as a volunteer, we had an old fuel truck that we used as a tanker. 2000 gallon truck, PTO pump. Pump was about 90 GPM. Because of the PTO pump it would pump and roll. The difference in weight between fuel and water did make a little difference on the highway at high speeds, but we made out fine if you were sensible.
I agree with what some other said, you don’t want a standard fire engine. Absolutely not designed for what you want to do with it. Unless you can find something designed for wildfires, I’d stay away from standard fire engines. | |
