I would say it depends on how many acres you are running whether it’s “economically” worth it. It also depends on what operations you’re doing. For spraying and fertilizer applications it probably has more value than strictly tillage. Planting has more value if you are using unmatched implements such as side dressing with different numbers of rows. It also depends on who the operator is. It can make inexperienced operators nearly as good as experienced ones.
With all that said if you decide to go down the path you need to keep in mind what machines and operations you want to use it on and start with something that will scale across them. |
