there is a wire that can get knocked off the rear of the engine just to the left side of center right above the rear end swing arm maybe 1 inch or 1.5 inches to the right of wear the drive shaft comes out of the rear housing to the rear end just a single wire plugs in on the back case i have had it knocked off before and you dont have reverse if its off on my 350 es
+1 on the wire getting knocked off. We had a 350 Rancher ES and occasionally that wire would get knocked off from corn stalks, sticks in the woods and it would lose reverse. Snap the wire back on and I had reverse again.
