| No it does not. You are reading something into it that isn’t there. It says absolutely nothing about the context of the situation. It is a virtual guarantee that you have not asked permission every time before you kissed your wife or any girlfriend you may have had. You would have used the context of the relationship to gauge if it would be accepted by her or not. That is essentially what Trump is saying. There is no indication of it not being consensual in what he said.
If you were judged by your own standards you will have already sexually assaulted your own wife. All that is needed is her being brave enough to come forward and speak up against you. I imagine you would take issue with her claiming that. You would not want others to call you a rapist just because she wasn’t enthusiastic or give you permission to kiss her. It wouldn’t be fair. Extend that courtesy to Trump also.
You don’t have to approve of that type of behaviour. Personally I don’t either. But you are judging by emotion, not logic. Allowing emotionally based judgments is a very slippery slope that you would not want to be subjected to either. | |
