Southern IA | you sure the phone company, gas company or power company isn't selling them an easement using their existing easement they have on the land. Some of the proposed easements I've been handed trying to get a signature lately allow the easement to be extended/sold to others seeking an easement within the easement they are buying. Solar and wind farms don't just get a lease for the land they need for the installations they are working on, they get a lease on the entire farm, even when they are only using 10 acres of 200 acres, those easements are likely to carry significant value in the future. | |
