Resprays are different now then even 10-15 years ago. Especially the case he brings up. BASF standard soybean respray program here is you buy Zidua, Zidua Pro for a pre and follow it up with Zidua or Outlook combined with Liberty Ultra post you get quite a few respray dollars. Basically no questions asked. Very common use of this program here is acres that don't get Enlistmpost and missing a complete kill on waterhemp and/or giant ragweed. They need retreated 10 days later to kill the rest of the living plant tissues. The dollars, if you followed their program, pay 75% of the respray.
What he said is also true here in that the local Helena plant doesn't use any other AMS products in the Liberty Ultra application other than Cohort. Helena is the No. 2 largest retailer, by store count in the US. BASF may not like it and literally tells everyone else in winter meeting to add AMS, but they aren't going to balk at Helena's program and lose market share over this detail. This location sprays quite a bit of straight Liberty (without 2,4D) and uses the program heavily. Some of this stems from this territory is generally not a large Corteva supporter, with Pioneer brand being the number one competition to large retailers being Asgrow/Dekalb dealers. So in general not many Corteva herbicides are number one, two or three top choice which reduces manufacturer program supports and dollars.
They gave me some last year to try with straight Liberty and I couldn't say either way if it was better or worse than AMS.
