Mid MO | I went to pick up.a load of calves at a local barn. Same day as the small animal sale. I was surprised at how many trucks were sporting stock racks. I thought they'd all been scrapped.
Hauling 1 sheep/goat smells the same as hauling 50 head. Something about nanny balls and those pointy, little feet, yuck. But, the barn is Full of families!!! The cattle sale is full of old coots.
I agree, we have a great capacity for complaining about how there's not enough farmers and then when somebody is out there hustling to make a living farming, we gripe about that too!!! | |
