| I think he is just saying that it seems more intuitive because it would be written in the order the math should be done in. The basic rule to remember for an equation like that with no brackets in it is to do the multiplication before the addition.
If brackets are involved that can change the order the math is to be done in and that can override the basic multiplication before addition rule. Whatever is inside the brackets gets done first. | |
