Supposedly the first Field Queen chopper was built to harvest alfalfa for a cubing plant.  It worked well enough that two more were built and then it was developed into the forage harvester that was well respected for a good many years. I wonder how much power that one took.  The Field Queen was only used to gather it up; the cubing machinery was stationary.





It says in the specifications that it is powered by a 6V-71 Detroit set at 216 HP.

There is also information on a stationary model of the Deere cuber in the brochure.
