I second what Fingers77 & Johnny G have said. I live in the area & spent 3,1/2 years as a courier in the NorthEast.
I only used I-80 as necessary given locations of pickup or delivery. Anyplace south of NYC, I came back via I-70, I-68, than U.S. 40 to home.
I-80 is an industrial road; often not pleasant. Accidents can lead to horrific blockages.
