West Central Iowa | I’m trying to figure out a problem with my steering system with the Integra and steer command using a 6500 gps. I have this on my planter setup which is a 12/23 kinze planter. The AgLeader does the steering on a case 275 tractor and controls the liquid application of starter. When planting beans the AgLeader monitors and controls the 2 clutch’s for the front row units. I have a precision gen 2 that runs the back row units Vsets and speed tubes. The AgLeader GPs sends data to the 20/20 on port B. My problem usually happened about an hour after planting where I would loose my heading on the Integra. My map on the Integra would spin around. The 20/20 would map and plant just fine. I found out if I just kept planting the gps would find its heading and would work fine the rest of the day. I changed the steer command with another steercommand and that didn’t change the problem. I changed the GPS cable and thought that solved my problem until the next day where I lost my heading. I switched out the 6500 GPS with a 7500 GPS and that still didn’t help. I wish I would have switched out the cab display cable now. Something just wasn’t working and it would always happen about an hour after I started planting everyday. Does anyone have any other ideas why my Integra would loose its heading?
