Washington Co Ks
I got stuck in a wet spot in a field once with duels on the tractor. I worked for quite a while and finally got out and moved to another field about a quarter of a mile down the road. Needless to say, I lost a lot of mut on the road. It was a county-paved road. As I was working in the new field, I saw the Sharif go by. He soon went back and a little while came back with the fire truck. He was also the local fire chief. When I quite for the day I saw him washing the mud off the road, so I took a different way home. He never did say anything about it to me.

My dad told me about the time he was visiting his cousin in Nebraska who did trucking. They were taking a load of cattle to Omaha. Dad's cousin carried a shovel on the side of his truck for cleanout after unloading. As they drove along, they met a car. Dad's cousin happened to look in the rearview mirror, and after driving over a hill, he stopped, took the shovel off, and put it behind a tree. When they got to the stockyards, the cops were there looking for a truck with a shovel hanging on the side that had swung out and almost hit a car. On the way home, they stopped and picked up the shovel. The shovel was better secured after that.
