Marketing 101: Create a problem- Offer a solution .
In medical world, its more like take advantage of a problem, for increasing repeat customers, if they choose to go down this path.
Successful specialists don't have to travel this path....watch out for the snake-oil folks, they sell books, products, and some even have a Youtube channel.
You keep warning us about anyone who has a YouTube channel, but you should warn us about the mainstream media which is totally bought and paid for by their advertising budget, and the biggest buyers of ads are the pill sellers and the junk food sellers.
They don't dare to question them and lose ad revenue...
