When I was young and worked at the local hospital, there was a patient admitted for treatment to get rid of his known tapeworm. The gentleman called his tapeworm "Fred". It was something like a 2-week treatment regimen IIRC to kill and expel the dead worm. The fella checked himself out at the 10 day point AMA, and when asked what he was gonna do about "Fred"....he answered "I'm gonna go feed Fred a steak".
