She is your daughter. This is her wedding, a celebration, a party! How much money is spent has no bearing on the longevity or success of the marriage.
Do what you can afford, you can't take it with you and truthfully, you're spending the kids inheritance.
If she wants a big deal go with it. There is more to life than having the guests leaving thinking 'wow, they were sure cheap'!
If people leave the wedding thinking about how much money was spent making it happen they are there for the wrong reason and I couldn't care less what they think, or if they were even there for that matter....... |
