An autonomous collective | I wrote a check to my daughter (my wife had passed from cancer) that would pay for a very nice basic wedding and reception. The rest was up to them. If they had wanted to go bigger they’d have to chip in on their own. If they wanted to go to the courthouse and spend the rest on the honeymoon……or put it in their account…….that was their choice too. They chose very wisely with a smaller ceremony at a reasonable venue. They had enough leftover for honeymoon air fare but most of the honeymoon was on them. It worked out very well.
