| Part of the issue is that saying he is doing illegal things does not mean he is actually doing illegal things. Another part of the problem is that for the most part the same people who refused to accept that the previous administration was doing illegal things are now the same people accusing others of that type of behaviour.
Another aspect to consider is that Trump supporters are much, much more likely to admit that they disagree with some things that Trump is doing. That attitude is virtually non existent among the left. So while I agree with the concept that everything a leader does should be questioned even among his/her followers that attitude is actually present much more on the right than on the left. It is hard to make that accusation stick because it is worse going the other way. But I do agree with the basic concept.
Actually, the reason for the current predicament the left is in is that the left has been so busy trying to figure out where or what he could be ACCUSED of doing that would make the faithful faithless that they failed to realize that it is the long history of their own lies that has made them a source that can not be trusted.
Oh edit to add: as far as the radicalized to hate their neighbour comment goes I made that comment because woody commented about a talking head program that claimed that 30% of Trump supporters would support him if he was a pedo. It may seem like it’s not important but the psychological effect is that people who believe that will tend to subconsciously assume anyone opposing them is in that guilty 30% and that can lead to them justifying verbal and violent behaviors against them. In other words, radicalized behaviours.
