20+ satellites. Elevation mask 20°
Unknown if atmospherics, Tx/Rx transmissions, or Trimble NetR9.
>Seems to be more likely to happen farther away
Geomagnetic storms - "Dual-Frequency/RTK Receivers (Agriculture, Surveying): Centimeter-level accuracy can degrade. The receiver may lose its "fixed" lock on the signal and revert to a less-accurate "float" mode."
Atmospherics - It was said years ago, that setting up a base station at the field is needed. With today's multi-frequency receivers, better tech to deal with ionospheric conditions....but with Trimble NetR9 being of 2010 tech, and Topcon's tech----Continuously monitors ionospheric conditions and rapidly switches to iono-free combination if ionospheric disturbances have been detected---I don't know if 4 good satellites info are being sent to Topcon unit.
If this is true, "Seems to be more likely to happen farther away...," it could be geomagnetic storm related
