Kiukainen, Finland | 252 and 262 will work with EZ-Guide 500. The 372 that has also GLONAS does not work.
If you can get a 252 or 262 at low price go ahead.
You might also try and find an unlocked EZ-Guide 500, CFX-750 or an FMX (FM-1000). RTK unlocked FMX prices are getting to be under 3k these days. Others should be lower.
The most economical way to get the corrections to these receiver is bluetooth serial adapter (Parani Senna SD1000 is very good) + an Android phone with Lecebure NTRIP Client app.
I did have this 252 + EZ-Guide system some years ago. It keeps the RTK fix only something like 10 seconds if corrections are lost. An RTK-unlocked 500 (and 262) keep the fix for 60 seconds. This might be an issue if your cell phone coverage is not good.
The reputation of 252 losing FIX often comes maybe from those that have been using radios for getting their correction?
CFX and FMX have a X-Fill system that keeps the fix an additional 20 minutes. | |
