That very well could be the issue.

A second thought - there is a specific procedure for checking the oil level on these tractors outlined in the manual, that's more than just checking the sight gauge in the morning before firing up. Make sure you're following that step by step to determine your oil level.

I would also suggest returning the oil through the SCV stack instead of into the housing as shown. Would be something different to try, and that's how we returned ours when running a vac planter. We were running two vacs through the same outlet and returning through the stack with no issues, and that was with eSet meters pulling 16 in. vac across 24 rows. If you go this route, you'll want to install a 0 pressure relief line as well, just as a precaution to prevent blowing seals out by stopping the SCV on accident.
